Dheeraj Steel

Dheeraj Steel is located over in Girgaon, specifically at Praveen House on the fourth floor. Our place is room 102 at number 10. We are right on Shree Ram Mandir Marg, which is a really active part of the Kumbharwada area. If you know Mumbai, you know how busy these streets get with all the loading and unloading. We’ve been in this spot for a long time, dealing with all kinds of steel supplies and orders. The building itself, Praveen House, has seen better days, but it’s sturdy and serves us well for what we need. It’s a bit of a climb up to the fourth floor if the lift is acting up, which happens more often than I’d like to admit. Inside, it’s mostly just stacks of papers, samples, and the sound of the phones ringing. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't; we just sell steel and keep track of the inventory. The area around Shree Ram Mandir is always crowded, so getting things delivered can be a bit of a puzzle sometimes. We’ve lived and worked in this neighborhood for years, so we know the local rhythm. My brother and I usually handle the calls while the staff manages the stock levels. It’s dusty work and can be quite loud with the street noise coming up from below. We open early because that’s when the trucks start moving. It’s a basic operation, but it keeps us busy.
