We are over in Andheri East, right at the A 1 spot. The name on the gate says Deepti Air Systems & Fabrication Pvt Ltd. This place is usually a bit loud because of the fabrication work. We have machines running and there is often the smell of cut metal in the air. We deal with air systems, so there are always ducts or fans sitting around waiting to be shipped out. It's a practical workshop. The office part is just a small corner where we handle the bills and the phone calls. Andheri East is a busy hub, so there is always someone coming or going. We started out small and just kept going with the same routine. Our guys know their way around the tools. We don’t really do sales pitches or fancy brochures. If someone needs a system fabricated, they come by, we look at the drawings, and we get to work. The floor can get messy with scraps, but we clean up at the end of the week. It’s a straightforward business. No big corporate meetings or anything like that. We just focus on the metalwork and the air units. Sometimes we have a lot of orders at once and it gets a bit frantic, but mostly we just keep a steady pace. It’s been our home for a while now and we know all the neighbors well. We just do the job that needs doing.
