Deepak Steel Centre

Deepak Steel Centre is located right at 56 Kumbharwada in the Opera House area. If you’ve ever walked through these streets, you know how crowded and loud it gets with all the metal and hardware shops around. We deal with steel all day long, so there is always the sound of things being moved or loaded onto trucks. The shop isn't very large, but we pack it full of whatever we can fit on the shelves. It’s a dusty place because of the nature of the work, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We’ve been here at this spot for quite some time now. Most of the guys working here have been around long enough to know the inventory by heart. You won’t find any shiny showrooms or soft chairs here. It’s a practical workspace meant for getting orders ready and making sure the right pieces go out to the right people. Opera House is a landmark itself, so people usually don't have too much trouble finding us if they know the lane. We spend our mornings checking the stock and the afternoons dealing with the walk-ins and the deliveries. It’s hard work and the heat in the summer can be a bit much, but we just get on with it. We aren't trying to be anything fancy, just a local steel shop doing what we do every day.
