We are over at Plot No. 41/1 in the Nagai Estate on M L Road. It’s in the Chincholi area of Malad West. If you’ve ever been to this part of Mumbai, you know how crowded and busy the industrial estates can get. There is always the sound of machines and the smell of grease and metal in the air. Our workshop is a busy place, and we have our small office area right there on the plot. It’s not the kind of place where you’d wear a suit; it’s more about getting your hands dirty and making things. We deal with various metal works and it’s a lot of manual effort every day. The monsoon season is always a bit of a challenge because the roads around the estate get flooded, but we just keep going. We have a few guys who have been working with us for years, so we’re like a small family here. Most of our days are spent on the factory floor, only coming into the office part to handle the billing and the phone calls. We don’t have a website or do any fancy marketing. We just get the work done. It’s a bit dusty and loud, but it’s our space and we’ve been here at Nagai Estate for quite a long time. People around Malad know us and they know where to find us when they need something made from metal. That’s about all there is to it.
