Darshan Hiring Co.

Our place, Darshan Hiring Co., is down in Jani Compound, right near the Excel Gas Godown on Ghatla Village Road. If you are coming through Chembur, you might miss the turn if you aren't looking for it. We handle a lot of different things that people need to rent for their events or local projects. Most of our morning is spent loading up trucks or checking the inventory that came back the night before. It gets pretty dusty here with the trucks moving in and out, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We don't really have a big office staff; usually, it’s just one of us sitting at the desk and the rest of the guys moving gear around the compound. We’ve been in this spot for a while, and most people around here know us by name. It’s not a quiet job. There is always the sound of metal clanking or someone shouting instructions about where to park the tempo. We keep everything stacked in the sheds, trying to make sure things don't get damaged. Sometimes things break or get worn out, so we spend time fixing them up before the next person needs them. It’s hard work, especially when the weather is bad, but we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of it. People stop by to see what we have available for the weekend, and we just walk them through the storage area to show them the stock.
