Ashtavinayak Enterprises

We’ve been here at Plot No. 56 on Lallubhai Park Road for quite some time now. Most mornings start with the sound of the traffic picking up outside Krishna Kunj as people head toward the station. Ashtavinayak Enterprises isn't a huge place, just a handful of us working out of this space in Andheri West. You’ll usually find the desks covered in papers and a couple of half-empty tea cups by noon. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or tracking things down for people who drop by. The building itself is older, but it feels like home to us. Sometimes the lift acts up, so we just take the stairs. It keeps us moving. It gets pretty busy around here, especially in the afternoons when the courier guys start arriving. We don’t really have any fancy decorations on the walls, just some old calendars and a few shelves that are probably too full. The windows look out toward the trees near the park, which is nice when it rains. We just try to get the work done and handle whatever comes through the door each day. Usually, someone is always running a bit late because of the traffic on the main road, but we manage. We aren't trying to change the world, just keeping things running at our own pace in this corner of the city.
