Regal Crane Works

You can find us at the Babulal Compound in Gala Number 1. We’re right across from Vivek Industrial Estate, which is always humming with activity. The compound itself is a bit tight, especially when we have parts of a crane laid out on the ground for repairs. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and metal clanking around here from morning until evening. Most of the guys have been with us for years, so we don't need to say much to know what needs doing next. I usually have a clipboard in my hand trying to keep track of which job is next in line. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear nice clothes because of the oil and the dust. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to answer the phones with a script. Usually, it's just one of us wiping our hands on a rag before picking up the call. If the weather is decent, we do most of the heavy assembly outside in the yard where there's more room to move. Sometimes the traffic on the main road makes it hard for the bigger trucks to turn in, but we've learned how to manage the chaos. It’s just honest work with machines that do the heavy lifting for everyone else. We stay late if a job isn't finished because people depend on these cranes to get their own projects done. It's a messy job but someone has to do it correctly.
