Dance N Soul Institute Of Perfoming Arts

Kandivali West is where we set up. Plot No 427, D-41 in Sector 4 to be exact. The name is a bit long—Dance N Soul Institute Of Perfoming Arts—but most people just call us the dance place on the corner. We aren't some big fancy school with a huge staff. It’s a small operation. We spend most of our time cleaning the floors or fixing the speakers. Sector 4 is a quiet enough area, which is nice when you're trying to focus on music. The building isn't new, but it's sturdy and the rooms have high ceilings. We moved in a while back and just started teaching. There wasn't much of a plan. We just knew we wanted a spot in Kandivali. People from the nearby apartments come by in the evenings. It gets a bit crowded during the peak hours, and the lobby—if you can call it that—gets full of shoes. We tell people to tuck them under the benches, but they never do. It’s just one of those things you get used to. We don’t spend money on fancy advertisements or shiny signs. Most people find us by walking past or hearing about us from a neighbor. It’s a real place with real people. No fluff, just a lot of sweat and some music playing from morning till night.
