Lal Impex

Our office is right near the Taj Octroi Service on the Western Express Highway in Dahisar. Being near the Check-Naka means there is always noise from the trucks and cars passing by. It’s a dusty area but it’s convenient for the kind of import and export work we do at Lal Impex. We spend most of our time at our desks or talking to drivers. The office is practical. We have some old desks and a couple of computers that have seen better days. It gets quite loud in the afternoons when the traffic builds up on the highway. We handle a lot of different goods coming in and out. There’s always someone checking a manifest or looking for a misplaced document. We don't really have a big staff, just enough people to make sure the work gets finished. Sometimes we have to stay late when a shipment is stuck or if the paperwork isn't clearing right. We eat our lunch at our desks most days. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know. The location in Dahisar helps because we are right on the main artery of the city. We see the city changing around us from this little spot by the road. We just keep our heads down and handle the impex side of things as they come. It’s a steady rhythm of work, day in and day out, dealing with the highway heat and the constant movement of goods.
