Dadar Steel

Our place is located at 159-12/20 A in Dadar East. We are right on the 6th Cross in Maruthi Nagar. It is a busy area with a lot of small shops and houses all mixed together. We deal with steel products of all sorts. Most of our customers are local builders or people doing repairs on their own homes. We have a small yard where we keep the pipes and sheets. It is a bit of a squeeze to get everything in there, but we make it work. I started this business after working for someone else for ten years. It is hard work and my hands are always dirty from the metal. We don't have a big marketing team or a polished website. We just talk to the people who walk in or call us. The neighborhood is noisy and there is always something going on outside. We spend the morning cutting steel to the right size for orders. The afternoon is usually for deliveries. We have an old tempo that we use to move the heavier pieces around town. Sometimes the rain makes the yard a bit muddy, but we just put some planks down and keep going. We know the other shop owners around here well. We often share a cup of chai in the afternoon. It is a simple, honest way to work. We just focus on getting the right pieces to the people who need them.
