D K Travel Agency is situated in Santosh Nagar in Goregaon East. It’s a lively neighborhood, and we are right in the middle of all the daily activity. Our office is a simple one, nothing fancy or modern about it. We have a couple of old desks and some plastic chairs for anyone who drops by to ask about ticket prices. Most of our day is spent on the phone or typing away on the computer. We handle bookings for buses, trains, and even some flights when people need them. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so the ceiling fan is always on full speed, making a clicking sound. We have lived and worked in Goregaon for a long time, so we know the shortcuts and the best ways to get around. Sometimes neighbors just stop by for a chat even if they aren't going anywhere. We have a small cupboard where we keep all the registers and old records. Everything is handwritten in some of those books. We don't use any complicated systems here. It’s just us helping people get to where they need to go, whether it’s for work or a family wedding. When the sun goes down, the street outside gets even busier with food stalls, but we usually stay open until the last customer is satisfied with their travel plan.
