D K Tempo Service

D K Tempo Service is based out of Ganesh Chowk over in Kandivali West. We spend most of our time on the Mumbai Pune Road, moving stuff back and forth for people. It is a lot of driving and a lot of early mornings. Bunder Pakhadi is where we keep the vehicles parked and where we meet up before starting the day's routes. It is not an easy job, especially with the way the road conditions are sometimes, but we are used to it by now. We carry all sorts of things, from small boxes to bigger loads that people need moved to the next city. The traffic on the way to Pune is always a gamble, so we try to leave early when we can. It’s just a small team here, a few drivers who know the roads well. We don't really do much advertising or anything fancy like that. Most people just know us from around the neighborhood or see the tempos parked near the junction. We just focus on getting from point A to point B without any trouble. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, but that is just part of the business. We keep the logs updated and make sure the engines are running right. It’s honest work and keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday, and sometimes even Sundays if someone is in a real hurry to move their things.
