Cuckoo Imports & Exports

At 13 Hill Rock Society, we have our little office for Cuckoo Imports & Exports. It’s located in Sanik Nagar in Andheri West, which is a bit more relaxed than the industrial areas. We handle both importing and exporting, so there is always something different coming across our desks. The building is part of a society, so it feels more like a community than a cold office block. We started this because we liked the idea of bringing things in from other countries and sending our own stuff out. It’s mostly just us sitting around a few desks, keeping track of where everything is. We don't have a big marketing budget or a polished image. We just try to be honest with people about how long things will take. Sometimes the shipping lines are late, and we have to explain that to our customers. It’s a lot of back-and-forth communication. We spend a lot of time on the computer, but we also have to go out and check on cargo occasionally. The area around here is nice, with a bit of greenery, which helps when the work gets stressful. We don’t use any corporate jargon here. If someone asks what we do, we tell them we move things around the world. It’s a simple enough job but it requires a lot of attention to the small details. We’re just a small group doing our best in Andheri.
