I've been at Computer Shoppe on New C G Road for a while now. It's right by the Masjid at number 421. Most days it's just me and a couple of others handling whatever walks through the door. Sometimes it's a broken screen, sometimes someone just needs a cable they lost. We don't have fancy displays. The shelves are mostly full of parts and boxes that have been there for months. People around here know the address pretty well. It’s a busy spot and it gets dusty with all the traffic outside. I usually spend my mornings sorting through things. We don't really do big ads. Usually, people just find us when their laptop starts acting up or they need a quick fix for a mouse. It’s not a quiet place because there is always noise from the street. We just sit here and work on what's in front of us. Most of the regulars just pop their head in to say hello while they’re passing by. It's a small space, so things get cramped. We try to keep things organized but honestly, it’s a struggle. It's just a normal shop doing what it does. No big story behind it. Just a lot of wires and screen parts everywhere. If you know the Masjid area, you've probably seen our sign. It's been there for years and we just keep going. The light inside isn't the brightest, but it works for seeing the small screws on motherboards. We keep a kettle in the back for tea when things slow down in the afternoon.
