Commercial Metals

Commercial Metals is up on the first floor at 56/64, Nanubhai Desai Road. Specifically, we’re in Office Number 4. Khetwadi Main Road is usually a bit of a mess with all the traffic and people moving around, so being upstairs gives us a little bit of a break from the noise. The office isn't very large, but we've managed to fit everything we need inside. There are stacks of files everywhere and some samples of different metals we deal with. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us who have been doing this for years. We aren't the type of place that has a fancy reception area. You just walk in and say hello. The building is older, so the stairs can be a bit creaky. We spend a lot of our day on the phone talking to suppliers and checking on orders. It’s a lot of logistical work, making sure things get from one place to another without too much trouble. Sometimes deliveries get delayed because of the narrow streets, but we’ve learned to deal with that over time. We usually have a pot of tea going and some biscuits if anyone stops by. We don't have a polished corporate look, and we don't really want one. This is just where we work. It’s a bit messy and crowded sometimes, but we know where everything is. It’s a good spot for us.
