Combination

Combination is located right in the middle of the rush at No. 51- A Agarwal Market. If you’ve ever walked down Mongi Bai Road in Vile Parle East, you know how crowded it gets with shoppers and commuters all day long. Our space isn't huge, but we make it work for us. We’ve got shelves piled high and the floor space is always a bit tight with boxes and supplies. Every morning starts the same way, opening up the shutters and seeing who’s already waiting outside in the market. It’s a bit of a squeeze when we get deliveries, but we’ve figured out a system over the years to move things quickly. We don't really do the whole professional office look. It’s more of a functional mess, I guess you could say. You might hear the trains nearby since we are so close to the Vile Parle East station. Sometimes it’s so loud we can’t even hear the phone ring over the noise of the market and the rail. We just do our thing here every day, dealing with whatever comes up. Rain or shine, we are usually here until late. The market has its own rhythm, and we’ve become a small part of that over time. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s ours. We drink a lot of tea to keep going during the long afternoons. People stop by just to say hello sometimes, which is nice for a break.
