Started on Delisle Road a while ago. It's a busy spot near the Markandi Karad Road junction. Most days start with opening the shutters and sweeping out the dust that blows in from the street. It gets loud with the traffic outside, but we’ve gotten used to it. The shop isn't fancy. We have shelves lining the walls and a counter that's seen better days. Usually, someone is sitting out front or moving boxes around. People stop by because they saw the sign while walking to the bus stop. It’s a lot of manual work, checking stock and making sure things are where they should be. The ceiling fan makes a clicking sound when it’s on high, but it keeps the air moving. We aren't doing anything groundbreaking here, just keeping the shop running and handling whatever comes through the door. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the whole entrance for twenty minutes and we just have to wait it out. It's a small place, maybe a bit cramped when we get a big shipment in, but it works for us. We've been in this part of Karad for a bit now, so we know the local guys who work in the nearby shops. Lunch is usually brought from home or someone goes to the corner for tea. It's a regular life, nothing like what you see in movies about big offices. We just stay busy and go home when the sun goes down.
