We have been operating out of Shop No. 6 in the Nagardas Building on Bhandarkar Road for quite a few years now. Matunga East is where we’ve always been based. It is a busy little spot, especially in the mornings when everyone is looking for their first cup. We sell both tea and coffee here. It isn't a fancy cafe with sofas or anything like that. It's just a simple counter and shelves filled with different varieties. We get our stock from a few different places. Most of our customers are locals who live in the nearby buildings. They come in with their own containers sometimes. We spend a lot of time just chatting with people while we weigh out their orders. The shop gets a bit dusty because of the road, and sometimes the lightbulb in the back flickers, but it works for us. My brother and I run the place mostly. We learned everything about the trade from our uncle. It’s a simple business. We don't do any big advertising or marketing. People just know we are here. Sometimes we run out of certain blends, and we have to tell people to come back tomorrow. They usually don't mind too much. It's just the way things go in this part of Matunga. We keep the doors open as long as there’s someone wanting a packet of tea. It's nothing special, just a regular shop doing its thing day after day. We even keep a stool outside.
