City Cab World

City Cab World is based out of Khar, right on Aai Mata Road. We’re very close to the highway, which makes it easy for our drivers to get out and head towards the city or the airport. Being near the highway means it's always noisy and there’s always something happening. We have a small parking area and a tiny office where we manage the bookings. It’s a basic setup. We mostly focus on getting cabs to people when they need them. We don't have a big corporate team, just a few of us making sure the cars are running and the drivers know where they’re going. Sometimes the rain makes things difficult on this road, but we manage. We’ve been here for a while now and most of the locals know where to find us. We don't use much technology besides our phones. It’s all about the timing and knowing the shortcuts. The drivers often hang out near the office between trips, drinking tea and talking about the traffic. It’s a simple business. We don't make big promises, we just try to be there on time. Khar is a busy place and being near the highway is a big advantage for a cab company. The street noise is something you just stop hearing after a while. We have a small bench outside where the drivers sit. It's not a glamorous life, but it keeps us busy and we like the work we do every day.
