Chirag Industries

Chirag Industries is tucked away at C/O Kalyanji Manji & Co in the Bramdin Chawl on Walbhat Road in Goregoan. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze around here, especially when trucks are trying to navigate Walbhat Road. Being in a chawl means we are right in the middle of everything. It’s never quiet, there’s always someone calling out or a machine running somewhere nearby. We share the space and it works for us. We do a lot of small-scale manufacturing and assembly here. It’s the kind of place where you have to move one thing to reach another, but we have a system that works. The heat in Goregoan can be tough during the summer, but we just keep the doors open and the fans running. We don’t have a fancy reception area or a receptionist. If you walk in, you’ll likely see someone in overalls or a dusty shirt. We’ve been in this spot for a long time and we know all the other shop owners on the street. It’s a community of small businesses just trying to make a living. We don't spend money on advertising or big signs. Most of our work comes from people knowing we are here and that we do what we say we will. It’s just Chirag Industries, a small part of the busy life on Walbhat Road. We just keep going, day in and day out, making sure things get done right.
