Air Exim

We spend most of our time up here on the 4th floor of the Sitaprasad Building. It is an old place on JSS Road, right in the middle of Chira Bazar. If you know this part of Mumbai, you know how it gets. The streets are always narrow and full of people moving around. Sometimes the lift works and sometimes we just take the stairs. It is quite a walk up. Air Exim has been here for a while now. We just handle our work day by day. The windows look out over the rooftops and the noise from the street below never really stops. It gets loud with the horns and the shops downstairs. Our desks are crowded with papers and the tea guy comes by every afternoon. We don’t have fancy furniture or a big lobby. It’s just an office where we get things done. Most of us have been traveling to this address for years. Chira Bazar has its own rhythm, and we are just a small part of it. When the monsoon hits, the walls get a bit damp, but that is just how these old buildings are. We keep the fans running high during the summer months. It is not a quiet place, but it is where we work. We don't really think about it much, it’s just our spot in the city.
