Chetak Veg. Gourmet Foods Llp

If you go down Naigaon Cross Road Number 1 in Wadala West, you will find us in the Angel Land building. We are up on the fifth floor, in room 20/10. Chetak Veg. Gourmet Foods Llp is what we call our business. We deal with gourmet vegetarian stuff, which sounds fancy, but the work itself is pretty standard. It involves a lot of tasting, checking ingredients, and making sure the packaging is tight. The building is a typical Mumbai society, so there is always someone moving furniture or kids running in the halls. Our space is filled with the smell of different food items, some spicy and some sweet. We don't have a board of directors or anything like that. It’s just us trying to make sure the food we sell is something we would actually eat ourselves. Sometimes the supplies don’t arrive when they should, and we have to spend the whole afternoon on the phone. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, so the fans are always on full blast. We handle the orders as they come in, and sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when three things happen at once. But that’s just how it is when you’re running a small food business in Wadala. We just focus on the jars and packets and getting them ready for the people who enjoy good vegetarian food. It’s a busy, cramped, and noisy way to work, but we like it.
