We are located at No. 16/A in the Ajanta Shopping Center. It’s on the ground floor, which is nice because nobody has to climb any stairs. Daftary Road is always crowded, especially with people heading toward Malad station. We have been here for a good while, and the shop is filled with bags of every kind you can think of. We have the big suitcases for people going on long trips and the small pouches for just carrying a bit of change. The shopping center is an older place, so it has a specific smell of floor cleaner and old stone. We keep our bags hanging up on the walls so you can see them as soon as you walk in. It’s not a very big space, but we make use of every inch. My brother and I usually take turns at the counter. We don't have any fancy marketing plans; we just show people the bags and tell them the price. If a zipper is sticking, we fix it right there. People appreciate that we don't try to push them into buying things they don't need. It gets quite loud in the evenings when the market really picks up speed. We usually stay open until quite late because that’s when most people are out shopping. It’s a steady life and we’ve made a lot of friends in the shopping center over the years. We just focus on the inventory and customers.
