We are located in the Maladi area, which is pretty close to Kurar Village. It’s a bit away from the main city buzz, which is nice in some ways. We deal with tea in a more serious way here, but we aren't some big corporate office. It’s more of a warehouse and a small office space combined. The neighborhood is mostly quiet, except for the local kids playing nearby. We spend our days checking on the batches of tea that come in. It’s a lot of weighing and sniffing and making sure things look right. We have a small team of people who have been with us for years. We eat lunch together in the small back room. The furniture is all mismatched and the tea kettle is always on for ourselves too. Sometimes people from the village stop by to see what’s going on. We don't have any fancy marketing people telling us what to do. We just know what we like and we try to stick to that. The road to get here can be a bit bumpy after the monsoon rains. It’s just a normal workplace with normal people. We try to keep things organized, but sometimes the paperwork piles up on the desk. That's just how it is when you're busy. We’re just happy to be doing our thing out here in Maladi near the village. It suits us just fine.
