Cebon Apparel P. Ltd.

Our unit is located in Nirmal Kendra, over on Dr. E. Moses Road in Mahalaxmi. If you know the area, it’s always moving and a bit loud outside. We’re in Unit No. 1, which isn’t the biggest space, but we make it work for everything we do with apparel. There are rows of machines and piles of fabric everywhere you look. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes when we have a big order going out to customers. Most of our days are spent checking seams, cutting cloth, and making sure the patterns are lined up right. We aren't some massive corporate entity with polished floors; it’s a working floor with thread on the ground and the constant hum of sewing machines. The staff here has been together for quite some time, so we have our own way of doing things. Lunch breaks are usually spent chatting about local news or what’s happening on the street. It’s a practical environment. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything like that. We just focus on the clothes and getting them boxed up. Being in Mahalaxmi means we’re right in the middle of everything, which helps with getting supplies in and out. Sometimes it gets a bit cramped when the new rolls of fabric arrive, but we just shift things around and keep going. It’s honest work and we’re proud of what we put together in this little space every day.
