Metal Craft is based out of a tin shed on R. B. Marg, right in the Umar Khadi area. It’s an old-school part of town, near Chinch Bunder and Carnac Bunder Road. The place is exactly what it sounds like—a workshop where we deal with metal. It’s noisy, there’s always the smell of welding or grinding in the air, and things can get pretty messy. Plot No. 44/52 isn't a showroom; it’s where the actual work happens. We take on various metal jobs, from small repairs to making specific parts. The space is filled with tools, scraps of iron, and machines that have seen a lot of use. We’ve been in this neighborhood for a long time, and we know the other shop owners around the Bunder area. It’s a busy, gritty environment. People come to us when they need something made out of metal that actually lasts. We don’t use fancy brochures. Usually, someone just walks in or calls to ask if we can fix something or build a frame. The heat in the shed can be tough during the summer, but we just keep at it. Our hands are usually dirty from the grease and dust. It’s a very manual way of working, and we like it that way. No corporate talk here, just the sound of hammers and saws going all day long. We just get the work done as it comes in from local folks. It keeps us moving and busy all year.
