We work out of Room No. 594 in Building 19. It’s located in Tagore Nagar, just behind the post office in Vikhroli East. Careerlandmark Placement Services is a small operation. The room is quite small, so we have to be very organized with where we put things. There are two desks and a couple of chairs for visitors. We spend most of our time on the computer or the phone trying to find jobs for people. Vikhroli East is a busy area, and being near the post office means there are always people around. The building is one of those standard government-style blocks. It’s not very modern, and the walls are a bit thin, so you can hear what’s happening in the next room. We don’t have any fancy signage or a big lobby. It’s just a place where we do our daily work. We usually have the window open to let in some air, but it can get a bit dusty. We drink a lot of tea while we go through lists of candidates and companies. It’s a simple, honest business. We don’t have any big corporate goals or mission statements. We just try to help people find work and keep our files in order. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when more than two people visit, but we make it work. We’ve been here for a long time and know the area well.
