We are over here on the first floor at 232 Borabazar Street. If you know the Fort area, you know how busy it gets with the D.N. Road traffic and all the people moving around during the day. Our office is tucked away in this old building where the hallways are a bit narrow and the stairs definitely give you a workout every morning. It is not some fancy glass tower with a lobby. Instead, it is just a place where we sit down with our tea and get through the paperwork for the day. Most of us have been working in this neighborhood for quite a while now. We know the chai wallah downstairs and the way the light hits the street in the afternoon. Sometimes the fans are a bit loud and the desks are cluttered with folders and old registers, but that is just how it is when you are dealing with logistics every single day. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking the latest updates on shipments. It gets a bit hectic around lunch when everyone is trying to get out at the same time, but we usually manage to keep things moving. It is just a regular office run by people who have lived in this city their whole lives and understand how much effort it takes to get things from one side of the world to the other. Nothing fancy, just hard work.
