Cafe Sunrise

You can find us at 197/A in the Satar Building on Premji Marg. We are right at Grant Road, basically opposite the railway station. If you know Lamington Road, you know how busy this whole area gets. There is a constant stream of people coming off the trains and heading into the markets. We are right in the middle of all that noise and energy. The building is old and we are on the ground floor, which makes it easy for people to just duck in for a quick bite. I start my day early here, usually before the first trains really get going. The station is so close you can almost hear the announcements from the platform. We see a lot of commuters who are in a hurry, but we also have regulars who have been coming here for twenty years. It is a small space and it gets cramped when it rains or during the lunch hour. We do not have any fancy mission statements or anything like that. We just serve tea and snacks and try to keep the line moving. It gets dusty from the construction around Grant Road, so we are always wiping down the counters. If you are at the station in 400007, just look across the street toward the Satar Building and you will see our sign.
