Cafe Pico

It is quite busy here on Hennur Main Road. We are situated right by the new railway bridge at number 17. Most days it is just about getting the coffee ready for people heading to work or coming back home. Le Mill is nearby too, so we get a lot of people passing through this part of the road. It’s nothing fancy. Just a spot to sit for a bit and watch the cars go by. We spend a lot of time cleaning the tables and making sure the floor is swept. The bridge makes a lot of noise when the trains go over, but you get used to it after a week or two. Sometimes the traffic outside gets stuck for hours and we see people looking out their car windows. We see the same faces every morning. It’s mostly just us doing our thing and trying to keep the place tidy. The windows get dusty from all the road work and the trucks. We keep the kettle going and the milk fresh. It’s a simple setup. Not much to look at inside, but the regulars don't seem to mind the plain walls. We’ve been here at this spot for a while now. Some people stop by after crossing the bridge just to catch their breath. It’s a good spot to wait out the heavy rain when it hits. We just try to keep things moving. There is always something to fix, like a chair that wobbles or a lightbulb that went out. Life on the main road is loud but it feels right.
