Cafe Mazda

Our place, Cafe Mazda, is tucked into the Atmaram Building on Raja Ram Street in Girgaon. It’s an old part of Mumbai, and you can really feel that history when you walk around these streets. We are located right opposite Chimanlal, which is a landmark most people in this neighborhood know well. The building itself has that classic Mumbai character—a bit worn around the edges but still standing strong. Inside, the space is narrow and the ceilings are high. We haven't changed much over the years because we like it the way it is. The wooden chairs have been here for ages, and they’ve got the scratches to prove it. Girgaon is a busy, crowded area, and Raja Ram Street can get pretty jammed with people and vehicles during the day. We get a lot of locals who have lived in these buildings for generations. They come in for a quick chat or a bite to eat before heading back out into the heat. It’s not a fancy cafe where you’ll find people with laptops all day; it’s more of a place where people actually talk to each other. We do our best to keep things moving, though we don't rush anyone. The kitchen is old-fashioned, and we stick to the things we know how to make well. It’s just a local Girgaon spot, run by people who’ve been in the area forever.
