Cafe Coffee Day

This branch is over in Vikhroli West, near the Makarpura Manjalpur Main Road area. It’s a spot where people mostly come when they need a break from the traffic outside. We spend a lot of our shift just wiping down the tables and making sure the sugar sachets are full. The coffee machine makes a loud hissing noise that you get used to after a few days of working here. We have some chairs that are getting a bit old, but people still sit in them for hours with their laptops. The glass windows at the front look out onto the main road, and we see the same buses go by every half hour. It gets really busy around four in the afternoon when the offices nearby start letting people out for the day. We go through a lot of milk and beans in a single day. Sometimes the air conditioner drips a bit, so we have to put a little bucket under it until someone can fix it. We don't have a fancy team, just a few of us who live nearby and walk to work. We know which regulars want their drink extra hot and who doesn’t want any sugar in their cup. It’s not a complicated job, but it stays busy. When it’s time to close, we just stack the chairs and sweep the floor, ready for the morning rush to start all over again.
