Cafe Coffee Day

This specific branch is over in Sion, sitting at address 41431. It’s not the biggest place we’ve worked in, but it stays busy because of where it’s located. Most of our morning is spent getting the espresso machine warmed up and wiping down the small tables. We get a lot of students and people waiting for their buses or trains since we’re right in the thick of Sion. The air conditioning works okay, but on really hot days it struggles a bit near the front door. We keep a stack of napkins on the counter and a bin that we have to empty way too often. It’s a lot of repetitive work, steaming milk and grinding beans until our hands smell like coffee for the rest of the day. The chairs are a bit worn out from all the people sitting there for hours with their laptops. We don’t really do much besides make the drinks and hand out the snacks from the display case. Sometimes the Wi-Fi acts up and we have to reset the router in the back. It’s just a steady stream of people coming and going, especially during the late afternoon when the local offices let out. We just focus on keeping the counter clear and the floor swept so the next person has a place to sit for a few minutes. It can get pretty loud when the blender is running, but that's just part of the daily grind here.
