Cafe Coffee Day

This spot is tucked inside the Malwa Industrial Co-Op Society over in Byculla West, right on JJ Road. It’s a bit of an interesting location because of all the industrial activity happening around us every single day. You hear the sounds of the city and the workshops nearby while the coffee machine is whistling in the background. We get a lot of people coming in from the nearby offices or guys who work in the industrial units taking a break from their shift. The space isn't huge, but it gets the job done when you need a seat and a drink. The light comes in through the front windows in the morning, which is probably the quietest time here before the JJ Road traffic really picks up. We spend a lot of time just wiping down tables and making sure the chairs are lined up right. It’s not like those quiet cafes in the movies; it’s a bit more real and busy here. Sometimes the regulars come in and we know exactly what they want without them saying much. We've got the usual tables and the counter where everything happens. It’s just a regular part of the neighborhood for the people who work around Byculla. Nothing too complicated about it, just a place to sit for twenty minutes and look at your phone or talk to a friend. We try to keep things moving so no one is waiting too long and everyone gets what they need before heading back to work.
