Cafe Coffee Day

This Cafe Coffee Day is tucked away on G D Street in Vile Parle West. It is a nice little corner of the neighborhood. We are not on one of the massive main roads, so it feels a bit more like a local hangout. The shop has the usual red and white theme, though it has faded a bit over the years. We spend our shifts making drinks and keeping the place tidy for whoever decides to stop in. Vile Parle is a busy area with a lot of students and families, so we get a real variety of customers. Some people stay for hours with their books or laptops, while others just grab something and head back out to G D Street. The chairs are comfortable enough, and the air conditioning usually works well, which is important during the humid months. We do not have a lot of bells and whistles here. It is just about getting the coffee done and making sure the snacks are ready in the display. Sometimes we run out of certain syrups or the milk delivery is late, but we just deal with it. It is a simple job and we like the people we work with. There is not any grand story to tell. We just open up in the morning, do our cleaning, and serve the folks who live nearby. It has become a regular stop for many people in Vile Parle West and we just keep it going.
