Cafe Coffee Day

This Cafe Coffee Day sits right near Chowpatty in the Subhash Nagar area. It is a good spot because you get the breeze coming off the water sometimes, although it mostly just feels like the usual humid air. We open up early and start getting the place ready for the day. The tables get a bit of dust on them throughout the afternoon, so we are always wiping things down with a damp cloth. It’s a mix of people coming in—some are tourists visiting the beach and others are just locals from Subhash Nagar heading to work. We have the usual menu, nothing you wouldn't expect from a shop like this. The espresso machine makes a lot of noise, which fills up the room when it's quiet. We don't have any fancy decorations or anything like that, just the standard stuff that came with the shop when we started. Sometimes we run out of specific snacks, and we have to tell people we're sorry about that. It happens. The lighting is a bit dim in the back corner, which is where people usually go if they want to use their laptops for a few hours. We don't mind as long as they're not bothering anyone else. It is just a regular coffee shop where we try to get the orders right and keep the place decent for everyone who visits Chowpatty. It’s a lot of standing on our feet, but we’re used to it by now.
