Cafe Bon

So, we are over at 269 in Bandra West. It’s a busy spot, and Cafe Bon has been here for a bit now. Honestly, some mornings it’s a total scramble just to get the doors open on time. I usually get here while the street is still mostly quiet, though in Bandra, that doesn’t last long. The chairs are a bit old, and we’ve had to fix the legs on a few of them ourselves lately. We spend most of our time just keeping up with the orders and making sure the coffee machine doesn’t act up again. It’s not a huge place, just a few tables and a lot of familiar faces from the neighborhood. Some people come in every single day, and we know exactly what they want before they even say anything. It’s mostly just us working here, trying to get things right. Sometimes the music is a little too loud, or the floor gets scuffed from all the feet coming through, but that’s just how it goes. We don’t have any fancy corporate backup or anything like that. It is just a small cafe in a crowded part of town. Sometimes it gets really hot inside when the afternoon sun hits the windows. We just try to keep things moving and make sure nobody waits too long for their drink. The fridge in the back makes a loud humming sound that we’ve just gotten used to over the months. It’s a lot of work, but being at 269 is home for us now.
