B.S.Steel Corporation

We are located at number 1 in the Kamaldeep Industrial Estate, right on Sonawala Cross Road No.2 in Goregaon East. It's a crowded area but it’s where all the action is for the steel trade. Our warehouse is usually stacked high with different types of steel products. It smells like metal and old dust in here, which is pretty normal for a place like ours. We spend a lot of time loading and unloading trucks that come through the narrow lanes of the estate. The drivers are always in a hurry, so it gets a bit chaotic around noon. Inside the office, the fans are always spinning to keep us cool while we look at invoices. We don't have any big slogans on the walls. Mostly just calendars and some old photos of the yard. It is a family-run kind of feeling even though we have a few staff members now. We know the other business owners on the road and we often share news over lunch. Goregaon has changed a lot, but this industrial pocket stays pretty much the same. At B.S.Steel Corporation, we don't try to be anything we aren't. We just handle the steel and make sure it gets to where it needs to go. It is heavy work and we are okay with that. Most of the time, the forklift is the loudest thing in the building, and we just keep on with our shift.
