Worli is a busy place, and we are right in the middle of it at Khanna Construction House on R G Thadani Marg. It is an older building, but it has its own character that you just don't find in the new glass towers. Most days here start with the heavy sounds of traffic outside. You can see the sea not too far away, which is nice when the air is clear in the mornings. We have been at this spot for quite a while now. The office inside isn't anything fancy, just desks, computers, and a lot of paper files stacked up on the shelves. Sometimes the lift takes a bit too long to arrive, so we just end up taking the stairs if we aren't carrying too much. There are plenty of small places to grab a quick snack or a chai nearby, which the staff does pretty often during the afternoon. People usually walk in and out all day, dealing with paperwork or just checking in on things. It is not a quiet office, as there is always someone talking or a phone ringing somewhere in the back room. The neighborhood has changed a lot over the years with more expensive buildings coming up, but we are still here in our usual corner. It feels like a solid place to work every day. We don't really do much for show, we just get on with what needs doing. The street outside gets quite jammed around five o’clock.
