Bhuta Metal Works

You’ll find us in the Trinity building, unit B/404, over on Orlem Tank Road in Malad West. It’s a bit of a trek up to the fourth floor, but there is an elevator if you don't feel like taking the stairs. Malad is always crowded, and our street is no different. We do a lot of metal work in a space that feels a bit too small sometimes. We have benches pushed up against the walls and tools hanging from every available hook. It’s a busy atmosphere with the sound of hammers and the occasional drill. We don't have a big fancy office with air conditioning. We just open the windows and hope for a breeze from the coast. Most of our work is custom stuff that people bring in—broken frames, specialized brackets, that sort of thing. We take our time with it because rushing usually means making a mistake. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings by the end of the day, so we spend the last twenty minutes sweeping up. It’s just a few of us here. We’ve known each other for a long time, so we don't need to say much to get the job done. It’s a practical place for practical work. We don't mind the noise, and most of our regular customers are used to it by now. We just want to finish the day's tasks and head home to our families.
