Bharat Bijlee Ltd. is located on the 6th floor of Electric Mansion. It’s a well-known building on Appasaheb Marathe Marg in the Prabhadevi area. We’ve been in this space for quite a long time. The office has that old-school feel to it, with heavy desks and plenty of filing cabinets. We deal with electrical equipment, which is what the building was originally named for. Our days are filled with logistics, coordinating between the factory and the people who use our motors or transformers. It’s a lot of coordination. You can see the city moving outside the windows, but inside we stay focused on the technical drawings and order sheets. We aren't the type to put up big posters or use slogans. We just know how electricity needs to be handled and we provide the machines that do it. The staff here has been around for years, so we all know each other’s habits. We take the lift up every morning and settle into the routine. It’s steady work. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook, and other times it’s quiet enough to hear the fans humming. We just keep things moving along as they should. No one is trying to be a superstar here; we just want the equipment to work like it’s supposed to for the people buying it. That's the way it's been since we moved in.
