We are located at No. 2 Aalap on Nehru Road in Vile Parle East. It’s a good location because it’s easy to get to, though parking is always a headache for anyone who visits. The office is on the ground floor, which makes it easier when we have to move smaller packages in and out. It’s not a massive warehouse, just a regular office space where we handle the import and export side of things. We have a couple of desks pushed together and a very old filing cabinet that squeaks every time you open it. The walls are a bit bare because we never really got around to decorating. We spend most of the day looking at tracking numbers and talking to customs agents. It can be a bit repetitive, but there’s a certain rhythm to it that we enjoy. Sometimes we have tea brought in from the shop around the corner when the afternoon slump hits. We don’t have any big slogans or fancy mission statements posted on the walls. We just come in, do the paperwork, make sure the goods are moving, and head home. It is a straightforward way to make a living. The team is small, just a few people who have known each other for a long time. We try to keep things calm, even when a shipment is delayed or something goes wrong with the transit.
