Basilur Tea

Nariman Point is where you’ll find us, specifically in Mittal Tower at 162 C. It is a busy part of Mumbai, and the building stays active from early morning until late. We work with tea here at Basilur Tea, though it’s more about the office work and less about the farming side. The office has a lot of windows, but we mostly look at our screens. It’s a standard workspace with desks, chairs, and a small area for tea breaks. We get a lot of phone calls throughout the day. People are always coming and going. Sometimes the humidity in the city makes the office feel like a nice escape with the air conditioning running. We try to keep things simple. There isn't any fancy decor, just the things we need to do our jobs. Getting here in the morning can be a struggle because of the commute, but that’s just how it is in this city. We handle a lot of the back-end stuff for the tea. It involves plenty of emails and tracking orders. Sometimes we have tea tastings, which is the best part of the afternoon. We aren't a huge team, so everyone knows each other well. It’s a quiet environment mostly, except when we’re debating where to order food from. We have been in Mittal Tower for a bit now and it feels like a solid place to be. Just a regular bunch of people working in a typical office. We don't really do anything too special, just the daily tasks.
