Basar Stainless is tucked away in Office No. 201 over at Standard House. Being on Maharshi Karve Road means there is always a lot of noise from the traffic and the trains nearby. The building is one of those older ones in Marine Lines, which has its own kind of charm, I guess. We deal with a lot of paperwork regarding stainless steel every single day. The office isn't huge, but it fits what we need. You can hear the sounds of the city coming through the windows even when they're closed. Most of our time is spent on the phone or checking lists of stock. We don't really have a showroom or anything fancy here; it's mostly administrative stuff. We drink a lot of tea while going through the orders. It gets a bit humid during the monsoon, but we're used to it. The staff has been around for a while, so we all know how things run. There’s no big mystery to it. We buy and sell steel, and we make sure the numbers add up at the end of the month. Sometimes the elevator in the building is slow, so we just take the stairs. It keeps us moving. We’ve been operating from this spot for a good while and it feels like home now. It’s just a regular workplace in a busy part of Mumbai where we keep things moving. We don't need much else.
