Banka Impex

We have been working out of the Neelkanth building for a while now, specifically at unit 48. JB Nagar is a crowded place in Mumbai, and sometimes just getting to the office in the morning takes longer than it should because of the rickshaws and the people heading to the metro. Banka Impex isn't some massive corporate setup with glass walls and a fancy lobby. It’s just us here, mostly dealing with paperwork and checking on shipments that need to go out. The building itself is okay, though the stairs can be a bit of a workout if you’re carrying anything heavy. We spend most of our time on the phone or looking at spreadsheets. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so we usually have the fans going full blast and maybe some music playing softly in the background. People come in and out, mostly delivery guys or folks we’ve known for years in the trade. We don’t really do fancy meetings with slides. Usually, if someone visits, we just pull up a spare chair and offer them some tea from the shop downstairs. It’s a busy life, especially when the orders pile up at the end of the month. Sometimes the internet is slow, and we all just sit around waiting for a page to load so we can finish the day’s work. It’s not a flashy job, but it’s what we do. JB Nagar has changed over the years, but our little corner here stays the same.
