Balaji Steel & Engineering Co

Our office is up on the first floor of the Old Sonawala Building over in C.P. Tank. If you know the area, you know it’s always crowded and the 14th Main street can get pretty jammed up with carts and people. We deal with steel and engineering supplies, so there’s usually a lot of heavy lifting and measuring going on. The building itself is quite old and has that specific smell of metal and dust that you find in this part of town. Sometimes the stairs feel a bit steep after a long day of moving samples around. We’ve been at 15/47 for a while now, tucked away where the light isn't always the best, but it works for what we do. It’s noisy because of all the workshops nearby, but that’s just how C.P. Tank is. We spend our time checking orders and making sure the dimensions are right for whatever project is happening next. It’s hard work and your hands get dirty almost immediately every morning. We don’t have any fancy decorations or a big waiting room. There’s just a desk, some chairs, and stacks of paperwork and metal bits everywhere. Balaji Steel & Engineering is basically just a place for people who need practical stuff for their construction or repair jobs. We’re usually there early to get a head start before the heat sets in.
