Baker Gauges (India) Pvt Ltd

We are based out of Dadar, occupying units 37 to 40. It’s an old industrial pocket here. Baker Gauges has been around for quite some time. The space is filled with tools and measuring equipment. It’s not the quietest place to work, but we like the pace. Most of the guys here have been with us for years. We know the machines better than we know our own homes sometimes. Dadar is central, so it helps with getting things moved around, though the narrow lanes can be a headache for the delivery vans. We aren't interested in being some high-rise office. We like being on the ground where the actual work happens. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy to worry about that. When you do this kind of work, you realize how much precision matters, even if the office looks a bit cluttered. We just stick to what we know. It’s a lot of measuring and checking. Every day is pretty much the same routine. We come in, check the schedule, and get to it. There’s a lot of history in these four units. You can see it in the old desks and the way the floors are worn down. We just keep the lights on and keep working. The units are numbered 37 to 40, and we’ve knocked down some walls between them over the years to make more room. It’s still quite cramped though. We have tools that are older than some of our employees, but they work perfectly because we take care of them.
