Bagmire

If you know Abdul Rehman Street, you know it’s one of the most packed places you can find. We’re situated at 245 Mayur House, right at Shop No. 1 on the ground floor. Being on the ground floor is lucky because it saves us from carrying heavy bundles up any stairs. Bagmire has been in this little corner for a while. The shop is quite small, honestly, and we have to stack the bags all the way to the ceiling sometimes to make everything fit. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than two people are inside at once. Outside, the street is always full of carts, rickshaws, and people shouting, so it’s never quiet here. We usually start our day pretty early to beat the worst of the crowd. The building itself, Mayur House, is an older one and has a lot of character, or at least that’s what we say when the paint peels a bit. We spend our time sorting through orders and chatting with the neighbors who’ve been on this street as long as we have. It’s a lot of hard work and the air can get a bit stuffy, but it’s a good spot for a business like ours. We just keep things simple and try to stay on top of the daily mess that comes with running a shop in such a busy market area.
