Azam Steel Forging Works

Our workshop, Azam Steel Forging Works, is tucked away in the Gafoor Khan Estate in Kurla West. It is right on LBS Marg, which anyone in Mumbai knows is a very busy and crowded road. We are directly across from the bus depot, so there is always a lot of noise and movement outside our gates. Forging is tough work. It involves a lot of heat, heavy hammers, and raw steel. The estate itself is quite old and has a very industrial feel to it. Our space is dark and filled with the smell of hot metal and oil. We have been doing this for a long time, and the machines we use are sturdy and reliable, even if they aren't the newest models. We make various steel parts for different industries. It’s a family-run kind of place where everyone knows their job and just gets on with it. We don't have an office with air conditioning. We just have a small corner with a desk where we keep the ledger and take orders. Most of our customers come here because they know we can handle the heavy forging work that others won't do. It is a gritty, hardworking environment. We take pride in the fact that we can still do things the traditional way. It’s just us, some hammers, and a lot of steel. We stay open until the last order is finished for the day.
