You can find Austenitic Steels Private Limited on Tardeo Road, specifically in room 801 of the Bombay Market Building. It’s a busy part of the city, and the building itself has a lot of history. Being on the 8th floor means we have to wait for the lift quite a bit, which can be slow during the lunch rush. The office is where we handle all the trading and paperwork for the steel we deal in. It’s not a factory, so you won't hear machines, but it’s still loud with the sound of phones and people talking. We have a small team here. Most of us have been in the steel business for a long time and we know the suppliers and the customers by their first names. We don't have a lot of decorative stuff on the walls; it’s mostly calendars and charts showing market trends. We drink a lot of coffee and try to stay on top of the orders. Sometimes the traffic on Tardeo Road makes it hard for people to get to us, so we do a lot of our business over the phone or through email. It’s a simple setup, really. We buy and sell steel, and we try to make sure everyone gets what they need at a price that makes sense. It’s a bit crowded in the office when we have all the files out, but we make it work somehow. We’ve been in this building for many years.
